BEACH CLUBS
Most of Santorini's beach clubs sit along Perivolos and Perissa on the southeast coast. The beach is a long stretch of black volcanic sand, and a very different feel to the caldera side.

Choose between a day bed on the sand or a table at the restaurant. This one’s the liveliest of the bunch and turns into a party in the evening.

WINE
Venetsanos Winery
📍Megalochori. A 1940s winery built into the cliff edge, with tastings on a terrace looking straight over the caldera. Try the Assyrtiko, the island's signature grape. Book ahead, and go late afternoon for the best light.
WALKS
Fira to Oia caldera walk
📍Starts in Fira. About 10km along the clifftops, passing through Firostefani and Imerovigli, so you can join right from either hotel. Allow three to four hours with photo stops. The first stretch is paved, but after Imerovigli it turns into a dusty path over the hills with almost no shade. Wear trainers, bring water and set off early. Reward yourself with lunch in Oia, then get a taxi back.
